Over the years we have collected many items that belonged in either my family or my husband’s. Some of them are sitting on shelves in the storage area just collecting dust. They are reminders of our past. I did at one time type on the old Underwood. You had to strike the keys hard to get it to leave an imprint on the paper. If you made a mistake you could not erase it. It was take the paper out and start again. I was a terrible typist and did not accomplish many words a minute by the time I graduated high school. I guess practice makes perfect because I can move along quite quickly now. How spoiled we are now with the computer. The old brownie camera belonged to me as a child. Am I dating myself here? The lunch bucket was something I remember my Mom would pack my Dad’s lunch into when he would go off to work at Outboard Marine Company. This one, however, belonged to my husbands Grandfather. He worked for the City of Toronto. Aaaah the memories!
I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday. Make a mosaic or a collage and join us there. Post it to your blog and then link to Mary’s. Have a great week. Valerie

Oh my gosh, the typewriter brings back memories. Used one many years ago, I also remember using carbon paper to make copies. Great mosaic Val. Take care and have a wonderful week. Jen.
Lovely memories and mosaic! My husband has some old cameras similar to yours. I love old things.
Hi Val
I have the same memories of the typewriter as Jen; thought I'd really progressed when I used an electric machine at work.
Our computers make life so much easier.
Used to make hubby's lunch in an old metal lunch box too with a thermos - got rid of it years ago.

What a lovely collection of vintage items. I think I learned to type on an old Underwood.
What a lot of nice typewriters you have in your collection. It's not easy to find an old typewriter anymore and so many use the bits and pieces for other things.
I LOVE all these vintage items! They make a wonderful collage.
What wonderful memories some of these pictures call to mind! Thank you! Cathy
What a fun mosaic! Yes, I remember typewriters like these. I learned to type on an electric one though. I fought against taking typing in high school, pouting that I wasn't going to be anyone's secretary, but my father won when he reminded me I'd have to type term papers in college. It's probably the only thing I learned in high school that's a vital, everyday part of my life.
Love your mosaic! Does bring back some nice memories :) The brownie and the typewriter, definitely of days gone by! I remember when an electric typewriter was such a big deal!
Wonderful MM. Have used them all. Had a camera just like that. Learned to type on one like the very old typewriter.

Fun post! I had one of those typewriters and the little Brownie cameras. The camera took the best photos. Wow ... memories!!
Great mosaic! I work next door to a typewriter repair store, and there are at least 30 similar typewriters on display in the window. Will think of your mosaic when I see them ;o)
What an interesting mosaic of cherished family antiques!
My parents had an Underwood typewriter and I remember enjoying the sound it made when my father typed.
Such a wonderful collection for creating a mosaic. Nice way to share the memories of each photo, too.
What memories. I remember using a brownie camera and my first typewriter was a little newer but still wasn't electric. Then we got IBM Selectrics in typing II. Very fun to see these. :) Nancy
Oh, yes, I remember all these things too! The typewriter did require strong fingers and accuracy, didn't it? Computers have spoiled me; love the backspace key! Thank you for the memories.
Some of my most favorite subjects!
I love old type writers... GREAT capture.
Have a wonderful week.
Wonderful, wonderful vintage treasures! I'm so glad you brought them out to share. My Brownie is long since gone, sadly. Have a great week yourself!
Wonderful memories and mosaic. I just the love the cameras that we have now.
Wow...great mosaic. Those typewriters are amazing. One of our daughters is collecting old cameras from both sides of the family. I'm not always into antiques but having family items is so cool.
Great shots and beautiful items!
What a great mosaic, filled with memories. I remember typing class on manual typewriters. My, how far we've come from that!
Fascinating post. Lovely antiques.
Fantastic vintage mosaic, and wonderful memories..thank you for sharing this.

I can remember typing on a manual typewriter too. Thank goodness for the backspace button!
These take us way back! great mosaic.
Love the mosaic. I'm a sucker for "old" stuff too. Its been so long since I typed on a real type writer, but I'm glad that I learned on one. I made a few bucks in high school typing papers for other people!
Oh, how beautiful! I love these old "machines". Great mosaic!
