My husband built two new feeders for the birds in the backyard recently. One is a tray feeder and the other is a pole to hang the cage type feeder and a suet cage. I wanted to bring the birds closer so that I could capture them at a closer range. Of course they are taken through the window so that does make a difference to the quality of the shot.
Birds are so entertaining and I never get tired of watching them. I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday. See you there. Hope you have a wonderful week. Valerie

Backyard visitors are wonderful to watch, and we all love to take photos of them. Great mosaic.
What pretty birds ,I would love to put food out for our birds but unfortunatley the rats also like the bird food ,so until I can find something that doesn;t attract rats I am stuck!

We love watching the birds! I think even more have flown SOUTH this winter! We have so many in our feeders right now! Great photos! ♥
Wonderful photos, you have mostly the same birds that I see at my feeders. It is nice to take pic's of the birds thru the window, they do not spook as easily.
My feathered friends bring me joy with every visit. I love your photo of the male cardinal. A great mosaic this week Val. Have a wonderful week and take care, Jen.
Hi Val
We had the same thought this week! Feeders close to the house do make for good shots, enjoyed yours. Have you considered framing any yourself?

Your photos look great taken thru the window! I just looked at your temp on your sidebar....BRRRRR! Your birds appreciate the seed I'm sure :-)
What a beautiful spot and great shots. Great job on the boxes.
Love your birdies! I love feeding the birds in the winter and seeing them at the feeders.

Wonderful pictures! Tha cardinal is gorgeous!
Your collage of the birds feeding at your kitchen window is so beautiful. Different birds, different shots, but the same wonderful quality of your photos. This is such a pretty collage. Great work. I have enjoyed viewing it so much.
Great pics - LOVE the cardinal! What a nice hubby you have!!
I would love a better tray or platform feeder for the larger birds that the squirrels wouldn't decimate. I love feeding at watching the birds also.
Lovin' your feeders and your pics are so fun-enjoy:@)
It must be great fun to watch them at such a short distance!
beautiful photos!
How wonderful that your feathered visitors are now closer ... gives you a chance to get some lovely shots. Like these!
Valerie,
I miss seeing the birds near the window. When I used to have the feeders out the kitchen window, I rarely took any pictures. Nice post.
