This week for Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday Challenge she asked us to think White. I came across a photo I had taken last spring of white crocus in the garden. They just stood out with the bright yellow stamens. I did so much playing around with this that I could not remember what I did but there are two textures. One is French Kiss “Rosy French Script” and one is Kim Klassen’s “Poetic”. I converted the original photo in a black and white conversion and then brought back the white flowers using a soft brush in Photoshop. I added a sold colour in a soft blue and again used the soft brush to take it off the flowers.
I am joining Lisa Gordon for The Creative Exchange and also Texture Tuesday at Kim Klassen Café. Valerie

Thank goodness my computer is up and running again. It is awful being without. I absolutely LOVE this beautiful picture of the white crocus. You did a fab job with the textures. Your work is always lovely, but this one is really special. genie
I hope my note got through...am not sure if I checked the “Genie” as the bottom. Let me know if I goofed up and I will send it again. genie
This is so pretty. I do love those textures.
yes, a beautiful image there, we have a few crocus poking through now :)
Beautiful work...love the textures and white theme
so beautiful...it looks just like a painting! I can not wait for the crocus are up again.
Hi Val
This one would be really nice framed and hanging on a wall.

What a wonderful combination of flower and background, with the saffron yellow as a focal point.
It glows.
Valerie, this is truly beautiful, and the white makes it extra special to me since we see many purples and yellows, but not many whites here.
Thank you so very much for sharing with us at The Creative Exchange this week.
Have a wonderful day!
lisa.
I'm thinking spring now that I've seen your crocus!
I was prepared to be very jealous that you have crocuses in bloom... but ah! This photo was in your stash! Nice work with textures! I still haven't gotten into that yet. Some day. :)
Oh how beautiful! =)
Beautiful, love it!
I am so impressed with your skill using textures. This is a very beautiful image. Nice job! Hope you are planning to frame a print :)
This is gorgeous, and I have even more appreciation for it after struggling with my crocus pic today. I might have to try your formula.
Awww you did a splendid job and I love it! Excellent texture too ♥
Your image is stunning. I love how the yellow stands out against the white background.
Beautiful texture & white on white. I agree with previous comment - would look nice hanging on the wall.
How magnificent. You really do something so special with the textures. Lovely photograph.
