Another Version of the Princely Pear Luncheon for Tea Time Tuesday

I have taken the invitation of Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage and Inspirations to join all her friends for Tea Time Tuesday. I thought it fitting that I started with another version of my friend Judith at Lavender Cottage posting of our lunch at the Princely Pear.

The Princely Pear is a lovely little restaurant in the quaint town of Cookstown not too far from where we live.  It has a restaurant, a gift store and a bed and breakfast. It is unfortunately up for sale.

My lunch was grilled vegetables on a foccacia bun with potatoe and leek soup made right on the premises.  I was very impressed with the way it was served with the little doily underneath the plate.  So dainty.

My teacup had a yellow rose on it.
My Teapot matched the teacup.  How coordinated.
For dessert I had a delicious and rich pecan tart drizzled with caramel.   It was devine.  Went right to my already ample waist line.  It is so nice to meet friends for lunch, relax over a lovely cup of pink herbal tea and talk about blogging.  It's as good as it gets.   Thanks for inviting me.

Hi: Your tea cup is just beautiful, as is the rest of the post. Thank you so much for sharing your treasures with us. I would like to invite you to join Tea Cup Tuesday. I know the ladies would love to see your treasures. Have a great week. Blessings, Martha

Maybe you should buy the place and turn it into a blogger's cafe. Wouldn't that be a blast. WiFi internet connections and all these bloggers with their laptops all laughing and eating and drinking tea and coming up with great ideas to post about.
Yum! What a shame it is up for sale. Sometimes we drive that way up to Owen Sound. I shall have to look for it the next time.

Forgot to add that your teacup is so pretty and that I want a bite of your pecan tart!!
What a wonderful spot The Princely Pear must be as Judith also mentioned it in her post. How nice that you two are friends! I love how they matched up the teapot to the teacup, and your dessert looks yummy! I love little tartlets and yes, they do have a habit of going to one's waistline, don't they? Thanks so much for joining me for tea today. I've enjoyed my visit with you very much. Have a lovely evening. {Sorry I'm a bit late visiting. I had physio on my back this afternoon}

What a yummy tea! Everything looks wonderful.
You have my mouth watering now. That sounds delicious and the pecan tart - divine. Love the cup and saucer. It is so charming. Glad you had a delectable time :)

Abstract Flowers

I found this photo in my Lightroom files yesterday and I decided to join Bonnie for her monthly Pixel Dust Photo Art PhotoArtFriday. Her theme this month was funny enough abstract art.  So I added one of her textures called Si  Belle to my abstract flowers and that is it.

First Birthday

Yesterday my husband and I attended our granddaughters first birthday party.  The house was alive with little ones having a fun time of running through the house.  Kenzi wanted to join it but they kept knocking her down as they sped past her.  She is a trouper though.  No tears as she got back up and tried to go with the flow again. The hitch came when she was to participate in the smash the cake ritual that all of my daughter-in-laws family do at the first birthday.  Her maternal grandmother had made the smash cake and Kenzi was supposed to get down into it with both hands and get covered in cake.   Kenzi was having no part in it.  She cried as her hand was pushed into the cake.   Oh well maybe next year.  It was lovely to see all the little babies born at the same time as Kenzi and how sweet they all were.  Kenzi’s cake was an Elmo cake.  He is her favourite character.  I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday.  I can feel spring in the air even though we have quite a bit of snow left bu…
