It's Around the Pond for Mosiac Monday

This week I thought I would show you around the pond.  Our pond was constructed last August.  It has some finishing touches to be included to it but my husband and I cannot agree on what those may be.   He wants to add a side water area for shallow water plants and I want a deck where I can place the muskoka chairs and make it look like we are at the cottage.   Anyway,  we are really enjoying it this year.  We sit out most evenings till the mosquitos drive us indoors watching the wild life in the form of frogs.  We have on an off 4 frogs.  The birds come down for a drink.  The fish move the plants about.   A simple life for simple people.   Note:  In the mosiac you will find my pool boy.   LOL.   Have a great gardening week.   Valerie

Join us over at Mary's for Mosiac Monday. There is lots of things to see and nice people too.

Oh, how lovely. I love your little pond. Can you do both your husband's and your ideas for the pond? Would there be enough room?

It's beautiful.

Have a happy Monday,
Susan
Val, I vote for the muskoka chairs - a great idea!
We finally bought more fish for our pond and one tiny frog has appeared.

I've always wanted a pond, but don't have enough room in our postage stamp garden now for the things I have! So, I'll enjoy yours!!! Beautiful mosaic. Like the critter, too!

Oh, the chairs sound like a great idea! How wonderful to see all the wildlife that visits -- I would love to sit and watch the frogs. :)
I LOVE your pond! My husband and I have talked about having one but I don't know when we'll ever find the time. Especially with teenagers.

Your pool boy does very nice work : )
I love everything about your pond mosaic - the pond itself, the flowers, your photos, and how you constructed the mosaic. I do think Muskoka chairs nearby would be a good addition.

Beautiful pond and definitely the chairs. We have had one for 12 years since we have lived in this house. 2 of the fish are of the original bunch. We have 21 now.It is near the deck so I can feed the fish even if I can't walk down the steps to the pond. There is a bench there. I love the lilies and usually have the floating hyacinths, but didn't get out to get them. First time I have visited and I will be back. Blessings

What a lovely pond area for your garden. I think adding a spot for chairs so you can sit and listen and watch is a wonderful idea.

Very nicely done!
Your pond is beautiful...and I hope you're good to your pool boy!
{My pool boy spends more time on his recliner than working in the yard!}

Very nice group of shots. Ponds are a lot of work (building and maintaining) but you have done a great job.

Abstract Flowers

I found this photo in my Lightroom files yesterday and I decided to join Bonnie for her monthly Pixel Dust Photo Art PhotoArtFriday. Her theme this month was funny enough abstract art.  So I added one of her textures called Si  Belle to my abstract flowers and that is it.

First Birthday

Yesterday my husband and I attended our granddaughters first birthday party.  The house was alive with little ones having a fun time of running through the house.  Kenzi wanted to join it but they kept knocking her down as they sped past her.  She is a trouper though.  No tears as she got back up and tried to go with the flow again. The hitch came when she was to participate in the smash the cake ritual that all of my daughter-in-laws family do at the first birthday.  Her maternal grandmother had made the smash cake and Kenzi was supposed to get down into it with both hands and get covered in cake.   Kenzi was having no part in it.  She cried as her hand was pushed into the cake.   Oh well maybe next year.  It was lovely to see all the little babies born at the same time as Kenzi and how sweet they all were.  Kenzi’s cake was an Elmo cake.  He is her favourite character.  I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday.  I can feel spring in the air even though we have quite a bit of snow left bu…
