A Change of Season for Mosaic Monday

 a change of season mosiac

This weekend I did my outside greenery arrangement that sits in an urn just outside the door.  For me it signals that change of season from autumn to winter and especially gets me thinking about the decorating for Christmas.  At one time I put the tree up on the first of December but in the last few years I take my time.   For me I have to rearrange the furniture and decide what items need to be moved to the basement.  Then I have to crawl under the basement stairs and haul all the ornaments out.   My house looks like a tornado came through for about a week while I actually get to work and then take the empty containers back down the basement.    It does look pretty when it is all done and then I slowly warm up to the season.

I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday at DearLittleRedHouse.   Hope to see you there.    Have a great week.   Valerie

leaves01Happy Thanksgiving to all our blogger friends in the US.

Decorating the house for a downunder Xmas is nowhere near as big a feat ... we're a bit more laid back about the Xmas thing! Anyway it's far too hot to be putting in that amount of labour for a week or two's display.

I am in absolute awe of just how beautiful your homes look at Xmas time ... and the effort that goes into it. Already I'm impressed by your outside greenery arrangement ... it's fabulous.

Your green and white mosaic is calming and a hint of what's to come. I have started moving angels about here and there but my husband has noticed already...not too soon he says. I decorate gradually...shh!

I enjoyed seeing your mosaic today! I especially like the photo of your arrangement. Yes,a tornado very much resembles the state of our home when the time comes to decorate for Christmas. We have everything up but the tree! Probably the earliest ever, oh well! I love this time of year.

Thank you for visiting The Gardening Life today!

Your lovely mosaic definitely puts me in the Holiday spirit. Your house sounds like my house during the decorating process...lol.

Thanks for the tip on adding pumpkin sees to muffins and breads, great idea for added nutrition. Now that you got me thinking I bet they would be great in granola or yogurt! Have a great week!

I love it. Need some of the ribbon for my hanging baskets, it looks wonderful. Love the little bird with the hat. Take care.

Oh, the bird is so charming! I do the same – taking my time decorating and the place is a disaster for some days during the process. I'm sure yours looks wonderful when it's done!

Oh, so very pretty, Valerie! I'm the same way -- it always looks like a disaster before it all comes together... lol.
