April Showers Brought May Flowers to the Sandbox

The April Showers we have been having lately have brought the flowers up in the garden.  Can you believe it is already May?   How fast the seasons go when you enjoy them.    My mosaic consists of a pink hyacinth, the double bloodroot, grape hyacinth, the tips of a hosta, red tulips planted 24 years ago are still making their entrance each spring, the white hyacinth and friend, red Pulsatilla or Pasque flower and finally the native bloodroot.

I will be adding my mosaic to Mosaic Monday with our host Mary.    Hope you have a great week.  Valerie

Beautiful flowers for your mosaic.Tulips that last 24 years were a great investment. I love the pasque flower but mine did not survive a cold winter.

Wow 24 year old tulips...what a great investment. All your flowers are lovely and it's nice to read their names as I'm not good with knowing any but the common flowers!

Your spring flowers all look very beautiful, especially the red tulips! What a wonderful durability for those bulbs to last all these years!

How pretty! I have some similar blooms but only have single blood root - the double is beautiful. Red and yellow tulips certainly seem to be the most hardy.

Beautiful flowers. I wish we had some April showers. Perhaps in May! Happy May Day and Happy Monday!

Hi Val
Tulips lasting that long must be a very hardy variety.
I'm getting too old to shop all weekend. :-)

Very nice mosaic. I hope to plant more bulbs this fall so my yard will have more plants this time next year. For a very little time and effort you get results for years - like with your red tulips! Nancy
