Magnolia Bud

I chose the bud of the Magnolia “Betty” for my texture edit today.  I used Kim Klassen’s texture “yesteryear”.

It took me a while but I figured out how to print screen.   Now I need to learn how to blow it up.   Anyway here is the edit.
I am joining Texture Tuesday and also Touch Up Tuesday.   Have a great week.  Valerie

Just thought I would add a postscript that I have been visiting many of your blogs today but for some reason I am an annonymous commenter and if you are like me I do not accept annonymous comments so I please note that I enjoyed everyone I visited.   Hope Blogger or Google will be kinder to me in future.

Hi Val, What a beautiful picture, worth framing. Have a great day.

This bud is beautiful! The texture gives it a lot of depth and interest.
Very nice! I really like the grainy feel! Someday I'm gonna learn how to use some of the fancier photo editing programs!

I love Magnolias, specially the white one. I had some trouble with commenting some weeks ago...I was xx not even anonymous and I did wonder what's going on. I checked my profile and there was my hubby's name not mine, after I make correction everything worked out fine again.

First Birthday

Yesterday my husband and I attended our granddaughters first birthday party.  The house was alive with little ones having a fun time of running through the house.  Kenzi wanted to join it but they kept knocking her down as they sped past her.  She is a trouper though.  No tears as she got back up and tried to go with the flow again. The hitch came when she was to participate in the smash the cake ritual that all of my daughter-in-laws family do at the first birthday.  Her maternal grandmother had made the smash cake and Kenzi was supposed to get down into it with both hands and get covered in cake.   Kenzi was having no part in it.  She cried as her hand was pushed into the cake.   Oh well maybe next year.  It was lovely to see all the little babies born at the same time as Kenzi and how sweet they all were.  Kenzi’s cake was an Elmo cake.  He is her favourite character.  I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday.  I can feel spring in the air even though we have quite a bit of snow left bu…
