Beginning to Bloom

Cherry blossoms with damask frame

Yesterday when I was in the city of Toronto I saw the fruit trees all in bloom.  Here in the Sandbox the Montmorency sour cherry tree is just beginning to bloom.  The apple tree must have lost its blooms during the frosts because it is putting out leaves now.  Usually it is so pretty to see for a day or two.  I am thinking we may not see too many apples on it then either.  I see bits of pink on the redbud and am keeping my fingers crossed to see a few flowers before the leaves appear.

I am joining Kim Klassen Café for Texture Tuesday.   I used a new texture of Kim’s called Chase.   I added an action of Isobelle LaFrance’s called iris glow and a frame  of hers as well.  I thought it was dainty like the new blossoms.

Beautiful texture Valerie. That's too bad your tree didn't bloom and I believe that means no fruit. :(
Things are really starting to open up here in central NB after several nice sunny days but we're in for some heavy rains this week. Have a good week!

It's been such a weird spring here in Ontario - all my tulips are finished, the dogwoods are blooming and the lilacs are in full bloom. I'm holding my breath they will hold until Saturday as I'm hosting a tea for Mother's Day.

So soft and lovely. It reminds me of Japanese calligraphy.
