Derelict Doorway for Photo Art Friday
An old abandoned house I saw one day as I was travelling the backroads to somewhere. It was in the middle of a field so I did not get out of the car to get closer. I did edit it as good as I could and then chose filter, find edges and gave it a blending mode of linear burn. I then added a texture from Kim Klassen Café called little things and a layer of pixeldustphotoart texture mauve threads.
I am joining Bonnie for Photo Art Friday at Pixel Dust Photo Art. I am away for the weekend so I will be late with my comments. Have a great weekend.

Last Sunday was my birthday. I'm at the age that if I don't look in the mirror I think I am younger. When I do pass by one and loo...

Have a nice weekend... Great photo editing. Mauve threads is one of my favourite textures, I think it does lovely things to photos!
Such a great edit, Valerie!!! You've really made something special from the photo.
Your photo editing turned out well. Love the light effect. Have a wonderful weekend.
Cool transformation Val. Wouldn't you love to peek inside the door though? I would.
Judith

What great editing! I do like the original image just as it is, too.
Love the photo and the editing. Abandoned houses always attract me, if they could only tell their stories.
Wonderful edit. I love the colors in your edit. To bad you weren't able to get in closer as it looks like such an interesting building.
What a lovely effect! You've made the old doorway look soft and appealing.
Nice work!
Nice edit Valerie. Both images are lovely and it's interesting that you just happened to find this subject in your travels. That just confirms that we need to keep are cameras with us where ever we go!
Very nicely done - and just a little spooky!
This is a great old door, and I love how you edited it!
Very nice! I love old buildings, with or without doors.
I like this a lot! Very nice work!
It's qiote unusual here as well to have a privy with a window - this is the first one I've seen, actually. Thanks for your nice comment!
I love the result here;)
I LOVE what you have done with this photo Val...especially the way you brought out the edges!
(and I just drove home from the Lakeshore in Toronto and the weather is definitely coming!!) Stay safe in that comfy place in your latest photo!!
