A Get Away Weekend Mosaic

East Olean Streetscape camera plus

Last weekend I went with friends on the annual shopping trip across the border to the Buffalo area.  The friday when we arrived the day was lovely and warm and dry so in the evening my friend and I took a little walk to look at the shops before we headed off for dinner.  All my photos were taken with with my Iphone.  The remaining  two days of our trip were very wet and cool so no more pictures.

The photo in the top left were taken after dinner.  The homes on this particular street were so lovely with large properties and old maple trees.  One of the stores was a shoe store that offered shoe parties.  I got a red velvet cupcake from a shop called Firefly for my dessert. The bottom right was in front of a shop catering to your pets.  They had two pet strollers for sale in the front which I did not get a photo of.

I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday.   Wishing everyone a speedy recovery from hurricane Sandy.  We only had some strong winds and lots of rain but others were not so fortunate.

That sounds like a fun trip! A group of ladies and shopping can't be bad! I read that MM is cancelled this week as Mary is still without power from Sandy. I thought you should know. :)

I love those shop 'till you drop weekends. Too bad it rained and took away some photo opportunities.

Looks like a fun trip in spite of the cooler weather. Getting away is good. You've probably figured out that MM is cancelled - I did a post as well.
Despite the weather, it looks like you had a great weekend.

It sounds like you had a good time on your getaway weekend. There's nothing like a little time away with girlfriends - to shop and laugh and laugh some more - and then get in the car and laugh all the way home!
Shopping trips with friends are a wonderful thing. Your pictures are lovely. I find I am using my iPhone more and more for pictures as i always have it in my purse.

Abstract Flowers

I found this photo in my Lightroom files yesterday and I decided to join Bonnie for her monthly Pixel Dust Photo Art PhotoArtFriday. Her theme this month was funny enough abstract art.  So I added one of her textures called Si  Belle to my abstract flowers and that is it.

First Birthday

Yesterday my husband and I attended our granddaughters first birthday party.  The house was alive with little ones having a fun time of running through the house.  Kenzi wanted to join it but they kept knocking her down as they sped past her.  She is a trouper though.  No tears as she got back up and tried to go with the flow again. The hitch came when she was to participate in the smash the cake ritual that all of my daughter-in-laws family do at the first birthday.  Her maternal grandmother had made the smash cake and Kenzi was supposed to get down into it with both hands and get covered in cake.   Kenzi was having no part in it.  She cried as her hand was pushed into the cake.   Oh well maybe next year.  It was lovely to see all the little babies born at the same time as Kenzi and how sweet they all were.  Kenzi’s cake was an Elmo cake.  He is her favourite character.  I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday.  I can feel spring in the air even though we have quite a bit of snow left bu…
