As Far As the Eye Can See–Joe Pye

joe pye landscape

On a sunny summer afternoon my husband and I went out for a drive and we stopped at a spot that he had been to in the past to fish.  For as far as the eye could see was a patch of Joe Pye Weed.   Such a pretty sight.

What a beautiful sight! I bought one of those plants two weeks ago. It looked so impressive last autumn at a garden we visited that I just had to try and find one.

Oh my gosh...now why doesn't that grow around here like that.

I bought a little joe this spring, and it's nothing like the flowers here, in fact I was rather disappointed in it.

Is this weed also white? There is tons of it growing in our area taking over the roadsides and fields. This pink is very pretty.

Joe-Pye weed, now that is one I'm not familiar with. It's a lovely shade of lavender though.
