The Chippy’s Contribution to the Sandbox Garden

sunflower mosaic

The Sandbox Chipmunks must have thought there was not enough colour in the garden so they planted many sunflower seeds all over and now I have bright yellow in every corner.  I could not be happier as they are quite spectacular in all their various forms.  They will be great for a few more photos until the seeds start to ripen and then down they will come with the help of other wildlife critters who like to snack on them.

.

I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday.    Have a wonderful week.

I love the sunflowers, natures way of providing the seed for the birds. Pretty mosaic! Enjoy your week ahead!

What a delightful surprise! I'd be thrilled to see those popping up in our yard. We must not have enough sun.

gorgeous - they really are the flower of summer. I wonder why I have never grown them - perhaps I should have a go this summer.
Have a wonderful week.

One year I tossed some dead sunflowers out in the yard and they "came back" the next season. They attracted so many birds and wild life. Every season that patch got bigger and bigger and I never did a thing to it.

Late summer sunflowers are lovely gifts from your chipmunk friends. And it sounds like there will be more of them next year, too.

Lovely composition of photos Valerie. I have one sunflower that is bent over so badly. I must tie it up tomorrow.
