Straight out of the Camera - Teasel

Teasel orDipsucus sylvestris is a common weed in southern Ontario.  I love the seed heads.  They have short, stiff bristles and are conical in shape.  I took this yesterday at the Guelph Arboretum.  See other photos straight out of the camera at http://www.murrieta365.com/

The seed head is interesting and no doubt the bristles are quite sharp.

Oh, I love it, too. Though weeds can be bothersome, they can be very beautiful. Thanks for joining in, today.

G'morn ~ These kind of weeds create exquisite floral arrangements, naturally or sprayed with color. I never knew them by anything other than 'thistle'.

Have a beautiful week.
