Cool Blues of Winter

 Jan 30 mosaic LR

This weekend was a cold one but very sunny and bright.   I take happiness in knowing that the sun is beginning to get stronger here and thus another sign that spring is coming to our part of the world if we just be patient a little longer.   I noticed that the shadows against the crisp white snow gave off a beautiful blue hue.  My husband and I took a little drive while the sun was shining and I captured these photos along the way.   I hope you had a great weekend.  Enjoy your week.   Valerie

Hi Val
Funny how we both had blue on our mind this week.
Chilly scenes but great shots.

Every one of your winter posts reminds me of the beauty of a sunny Ontario winter day - nothing like it.

Look at those drifts along the fence row. The ice along the spillway is so pretty. Lovely winter images. The tree looks lonely though. LOL!

I've also noticed the snow having beautiful blue shades when the sun is shining.
I know Spring is just around the corner but I think Winter doesn't want to leave this year! :)

Snow is so beautiful. I love the way it alters the landscape, softening lines and highlighting structures. But by February, it can get tiresome. Your photos of blue and white are so pretty. And isn't it wonderful that the days are lengthening?
