Mid May Bliss

Today was such a beautiful day here.  You just wanted to stay outside and enjoy as much of it as possible.  It seems the plants are happy too as they are in a hurry to bloom this year.  I worry that in the middle of June I will have nothing left to show.   It will take some thinking to plant some pretty annuals to fill in the gaps.   Today's mosiac is a collection of plants that are blooming now.   I am sure if you check out Mary's Place at DearLittleRedHouse that you will find more inspiring mosiacs to make your week.   Have a great week.

What a lovely collection. I've always wanted a quince - maybe this year.
I can imagine your May weather - we used to live in Newmarket and drove past your town nearly every day.

Hi Valerie,

So many of your blossom are new to me, being so far south of you. They are absolutely beautiful and what a bonus, too, if they are all perennials!

Hello Valerie,
Thank you for vsiting my blog. I am delighted to see that you are a fellow pond builder - isn't it fantastic the way that nature arrives the moment we create a natural pool of water. The frogs are very charming - in my case too many and very noisy at the moment, but nothing to be done about that. We also have a newt but he stays too deep for me to photograph him. Happy springtime!

A few years ago I decided that I will start planting perennials in my garden to rid myself of the work of replanting every spring. My son and Daughter-in-law gave me a beautiful rose bush a few years ago and it is the joy of my garden. It blooms all summer long. Have a great week.

Your flowers are lovely. I really like the quince. I wonder if it would grow in our zone? You are probably pretty cold in the winter, yes?

I hope you have another beautiful day!

Very pretty! I had to click and enlarge the mosaic to see the names of a few plants as they are not familiar to me. Very lovely!
