Geraniums

GeraniumsLR

I am enjoying the last of the annuals in the garden.  They are getting a bit tired looking now but they have been a constant source of colour through out the summer even despite the periods of intense heat and humidity.  I will endeavor  to bring some of them in for the winter for next years cuttings.  For Kim Klassen’s challenge this week we were to think LOVE.   I used two layers of Kim’s texture called love.   I used a brush preset I got from French Kiss Textures.  I used it subtly. so that it just stayed in the background.

I will be joining Kim Klassen Café Texture Tuesday and the Creative Exchange with Lisa Gordon.   Valerie

Visiting from TT. I love the colors and texture your used on your photo here...you totally captured the last of the summer blooms here. Sigh, I just emptied out my front porch planters yesterday and will be buying mums for them today. Goodbye summer :(

I love all of that wonderful light.
It reminds me of a summer that is quickly leaving us here :-(

Thank you so much for sharing this at The Creative Exchange.

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning Valerie, I know it's Wed. but I've only just got here from TT :-) I love the high key you've created with the textures in this image, it's so eye catching and really evokes the feeling of the heat of the summer.
Have a good Wednesday, Teresa x

My geraniums are still in flower despite being neglected by me for over a month. I always have great intentions for doing cuttings but in the end it never happens. I love that french script texture that you've added.

I hate seeing the last of the annuals fade away ... try to keep them around for as long as possible.

I love geraniums, and in September they seem to celebrate knowing the seasons are changing. I love your use of textures on this one.
