An Afternoon in a Garden

TBG mosaic

It was a bright and sunny day today and just right to be outdoors in a lovely garden. I attended a plant sale at the Toronto Botanical Garden in Toronto today but before I lined up with all those anxious plant buyers I took a stroll with my camera around to see what is in bloom.  As this garden is in a zone 6 and I live in a 4B the trees and flower were farther ahead of us.  The fruit trees were in an amazing displays of colour and the rows and drifts of flowers were something special to see.  There were many people in the gardens with cameras  and others strolling with their families.  The parking lot was packed very early.  I did purchase a few plants for my own garden.

I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday.   Have a wonderful week.   Valerie

The gardens look lovely and the blossoming trees. I love the tulips. I guess all the nurseries will be busy now. I have to plan my own annuals I want planted in my garden. I am always looking for something that will bloom all summer. Beautiful mosaic, have a great week!

The TBG looks nice in the spring, don't think I've ever been there during this season.

Have just come from vibrant reds and yellows in tulips to this lovely display of pink ones. Very nice. Did you buy anything?

We are all in love with flowers and gardens. The lady in us I guess. Or maybe it is the nurturing side of us. Such a nice photo essay and bright colors.

I haven't yet been to a plant sale this year, but hope to get to one next weekend. I've been weeding and spreading compost this weekend in preparation.
I'll be that walk around and then the sale were lovely - it's fun to visit a whole other zone so close to home.

I love attending plants sales at Botanical Gardens as they usually have a wonderful array of flowers and herbs for sale. It has been too cool and rainy here to plant anything as yet, but I hope to get some plants in thsi weekend.

Hoping You Have a Blessed Easter
