The Japanese Quince is beautiful at this time of the year but it needs a severe pruning. It tends to ramble through the flower bed and it is becoming too large for the area.
I began editing this photo with a texture called Raggedy Paper 4 and then something came over me. I began to be the mad scientist adding this and subtracting that and lost track of what I did do so I cannot give a snip today. I really like the dark painterly feel of this picture though. I think that the Quince really suits this kind of photo. I also found a template for the four corners but I have no idea where it came from.
I am joining Kim Klassen Café for Texture Tuesday.

I love how you've processed this, the colour really pops. So pretty.
I've never heard of Japanese Quince before. It's really pretty. Your editing is great. It is fun to get lost in the editing "mode", isn't it?
I love this colour - I have one that's more pink but I'd love an orange one! This is a beautiful photo and I really love what you've done with the editing.
Great edit job Val. I love the way the orange pops against the dark background. Tired!!!
I love the rich dark textures here too, love quince, it's always got such interesting colours in it's petals, the composition is perfect too :)
Flowering quince was the first thing blooming in my new garden this year and I love it!!
What a gorgeous photo, and the textures make it look more like a painting than a photograph.
I love the scrapbook corners you added as well. The perfect touch for a glorious photo.
