Reading the Light Meter

Fairy Lake Mosaic

Saturday morning early a group of members from the Newmarket Camera Club including me joined  professional photographer Ross Chevalier in Fairy Lake a lovely little park in the middle of Newmarket.  We were there to learn to properly read the light meter in our camera to get the best possible shot.  We learned about exposure compensation and how to read a gray card and how to see light and use it to our advantage when taking photos. It was a great morning and we came away feeling more confident when out and about taking great pictures.

I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday.   I hope you have a great week.

Oh wow... I could certainly benefit from a class like this as well. Seems I'm always in such a hurry to get the shot and move on though... silly me... Glad you enjoyed the class!

There is so much I need to learn about photography. The local camera club meets on a day when I'm unavailable unfortunately, so I haven't been able to go. Darn.

It looks like you had a great day.

I've been thinking about upgrading from my point-and-shoot. Then would come the challenge of learning how to use it. A lovely collage and l liked your poppy post too.
