End of Summer Mosaic

End of Summer mosaic 2

Labour Day Weekend is upon us and that signals to me that it is the end of the summer. Do I stop wearing white jeans now and put my summer purse away are the big questions that occupy my mind now that September is here.

My ornamental grasses are beginning to flower with large plumes. I just love to look at them.  The chipmunk is busy eating and storing the rose hips.  He makes a big mess on the deck with his left overs.  The Cup Plant grew to 10ft high with oodles of blooms.  I have noticed that some of the Maple trees are beginning to turn and it won’t be long before all of the trees begin to show off their fall colour.

I am joining Mary at DearLittleRedHouse for Mosaic Monday.  I hope that you are enjoying the weekend too.

Haha Val, no whites after Sept. 1 :-)
Trees are not turning in North Bay yet and we have been getting super weather all weekend.

Hi Valerie, your photo collage is beautiful and I love your new header. I can't believe the change in temperature here in the past few days. I'm not liking it either as I have really enjoyed the sunny heat we've had here all summer. Oh well, time goes on. I hope you have a great week. Blessings, Pamela

Even though the sun's warmth is strong, there's a definite chill in the air as soon as the sun disappears. But your flowers are so pretty, showing their late summer colours and textures. Let's enjoy summer as long as we can.

I'm wearing white shorts today for the last time - so sad to be putting them away for the season. But I'm also ready for the changes that fall brings - cooler mornings, more rain (please, please, please) and the colours of the maple trees.

Happy last blast at summer!!

What a beautiful mosaic, Valerie!
Here in NY, Labor Day signals the end of summer for us too, and it is indeed beginning to look like fall. I always keep summer clothes and accessories out until it is simply too cold to wear them. The season is short enough as it is. Oh, my Mom would be mortified!! She was a "definitely no white after Sept. 1st" person! :-)

Wishing you a wonderful day!

xo.
