Sepia Scenes -Daylily Days

I grow many daylilies in the garden as they don't seem to mind the sandy soil. This photo was taken last summer. It seems to lend itself to a sepia photo.

This one was easy to do in Picassa.  Go to edit and effects and select focal black and white.

Let me know if you think so also. For more sepia wonders visit Sepia Scenes at http://sepiascenes.blogspot.com/

the flower and foliage does look great in sepia but I like the second shot better. I have picasa and will try that. MB

The second shot looks better because it has more contrast. I think the first would be much better if the background was darker.

I like both pics, although I think the last one is my favourite. :)

I like them both. The first has a softer gentle appeal and the second a stronger vibrant look.
At the moment I'm leaning toward liking the second one better. :)
Nice work on both!

I think I like the daylily in colour best. Ah, daylilies are one of my favourite perennials because they grow just about anywhere.

By the way, Valerie, the farm in my Skywatch photo is on Durham 30, just across the road from Mount Albert. ;-)
