Don't Do This At Home Kids

I have in my usual fashion learned a very valuable lesson this morning.   I was quite upset because I could not upload a photo from my files.  I was given the error message that my picassa web album had reached capacity and if I wanted to add more photos I could pay for the priviledge.  Being frugal I decided I would just delete all the pictures in the album.  What you see on my blog this morning is the result of being impulsive.   I have lost many photos that you should see in the various posts.   It will take me hours to restore them to the blog and for that I am really sorry.   Please bear with me today as I clean up.  Valerie

I have always wondered what would happen when storage capacity was reached. Good luck.

Well it seemed like a good idea at the time. Kind of like getting a tattoo. I

That's a bummer. It is good you gave others a heads up so they don't do it as well!

You're not alone ... had a similar experience myself and ended up paying for more storage space!! It is a laborious exercise though ... so keep the chin up!

I also have to pay Google Picasa for extra storage every year.

Some get around this by beginning a brand new blog with a different e-mail account. Then that blog has the initial free Picasa useage.

Oh, no! How will you ever restore them? Before Blogger began its new design a few months back, I saw how much space remained when I uploaded photos. I don't see it any more. I do try to reduce the size of my photos just to conserve space but it takes an extra step.

The image of the lady in this post is lovely. Hope she can give you some pointers!

I use some other sites to host my photos like flickr, imageshack, photobucket for free. The trick is copying the html code or there's an option in flickr that allows you to blog a certain picture. It's time consuming but you can save money that way. :)

Oh, no! While you are restoring them be sure to resize the pictures in your photo editing software. That will make your Picasa space last longer, because each picture will have fewer pixels and take up less space.
