A Pot of Tea
This pretty little teapot with the pink roses was filled with Creamy Earl Grey yesterday at a class I attended where we learned the fine points of making a high tea with cookbook author Moira Sanders. I used two layers of Kim Klassen’s “sweet tart” texture with blending modes of softlight and multiply. I used the layer mask to remove the textures from the tea pot. I used an action of Pioneer Woman called “soft and faded”. and then added the text and left it there. I had not really noticed until I started editing that I got some bokeh in there.
The use of textures can be found at Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday and touch ups at Camera Heart Camera for TouchUp Tuesday. See you there. Valerie

Such a pretty teapot and with a favourite tea of mine.
Moira is good friends with my daughter's sister-in-law, what a small world.

Valerie,
I love what you did with the teapot. I hope to take an e-course with Kim this summer. So much to learn!

In the right place at the right time ...... lovely image, beautiful processing!
Ah! What a fun cooking class you went too. I can see you are having fun with textures too. Nice job!
Oooh being a brit I'm all about the tea. Nicely done.

(a.k.a.fotogran) Lovely processing - adorable teapot too!
Tea must taste very delicate from beautiful pot:)
My hubby is not always very happy if I hadn't empty my "studio" and he is going to sleep, once I had taken pictures in dining table and there was no space even for his tea cup...not good:)
Wonderful job! So lovely!
I love it.
Darling teapot, Val, and GREAT processing. You have really embraced texturing your photos and the results are super.
Oh, I would LOVe to learn how to do a proper high tea. Even though D is English, I must say I'm useless at serving tea. :)
Great work! I love all you you did and appreciate your sharing the recipe. Love the teapot too.
Thanks for your comment. We had tornados close to home. But, all is well.
I collect tea pots! Is that an Old Country Roses tea pot? It looks similar to one that I have.
I love the way textures look and I am trying to learn how to use them. I downloaded them from Pioneer Woman but I can't figure out how to get them on PSE. I think my computer may just be to old to run Elements7 properly.
I really like the aged look of this! The textures give it wonderful character.
And thanks for stopping by my place too. =)
