Midmorning break for Texture Tuesday

Apple and cup for web and logo

This morning we are expecting a bit of winter to pass through.  It is cold and part rain and part snow outside.   Inside I am looking for something to inspire me for today’s photo.  I rooted through the frig and cupboards and paired up a lovely granny smith apple and a mug of the same colour.

I remembered to take a snip of the processing I did too.

I am joining Kim Klassen Café for Texture Tuesday.   Have a wonderful and dry day.   Valerie

So pretty. I love the way you took ordinary objects and showed us their beauty.

isn't it awful outside. The sun is starting to break through a little west of you here in TBurg but it's still cold. No gardening today for me either. The grass is desperate to be cut and there's no way that's happening till it dries out a bit. Oh well, a day of retail therapy I think is in order.

Lovely textures, Valerie.

It is terrible weather today, but as I sit here typing I can hear the white throated sparrow singing away. Gorgeous shot Val, xo Jen.

It's the same here - in single figures every day with hail storms at least twice a day. I think my lawn thinks that I'm growing sileage for animal feed as it's so long but it's never dry long enough to get it cut.

Very nice little still life and good use of the textures.

Cozy -- that's the word that comes to me. :)

Great use of the texture for your image V. I love the simple arrangement and I love Granny Smiths!
Thanks for the pic of the processing - I don't know "Quick Edge Burn" - I will have to look for that one!
Textures is fun - and time consuming!
Enjoy the rest of your week.

A great composition, I'm rooting through the house for things to snap too, roll on summer :)
