Red Poppy with Textures

Poppy with textures 6-25

I spotted a poppy in the garden that the petals had dropped leaving the centre open.   I thought I would use this for my textured photo today.  I used one layer of Kim Klassen’s texture Letgo and then I found another texture from my files called bark.  I can’t remember who it belongs to but it may have come from Shadowhouse Creations.  I used a layer mask to remove some of the texture from the poppy.

Joining Kim Klassen for Texture Tuesday. The theme this week was flowers.   Have a wonderful day.

Beautiful. It reminds me of a poppy in the rain - something I've seen often here!

Wonderful shot. I planted two little poppies and the squirrels ate the heads off them before they bloomed. Maybe next year.

The added texture makes the flower look like it's made of paper...like it!

I love how the petals are bent back - showing off the delicate inside of the flower. Very pretty!

The textures you used are very lovely on the poppy. Love the outcome.

Hi, I found your blog through a class I'm taking with Kim and Xanthe. You're one of the few garden bloggers I've found! Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. We are miles apart but both garden in harsh climates and have a love for photography. Have a great day! Cat
