For the last Photo Art Friday of 2012 Bonnie asked us to pick our favourite art photo that we might put on the cover of a photo book. I remembered the very one that I really liked and I would probably put it on a cover. Like Bonnie I have been thinking about making a book of photos that I have taken this year in the garden. Our camera club had a speaker on this very subject last week and had some of her books there to look at. I have been using Scott Kelby’s book on Adobe Lightroom 4 and one of the chapters he shows how to go about creating it.
My second choice might be this one
Funny enough they both have similar colouring in them. What have you chosen for your cover photo?
I am joining Bonnie at Pixel Dust Photo Art for Photo Art Friday. As this is the last Photo Art Friday for 2012 I hope to see you here in the new year.

They are both beautiful Valerie, I love the rustic support in the last one too :)
Gorgeous Valerie. I would certainly feature that first one on the cover a book, too. Very different and appropriate uses of textures on your two favs.
So pleased to have you contribute your artistic works with Photo Art Friday.
I adore your first photo! I am in love with coneflowers, and your special effects are great!
These are both beautiful photos but I'm drawn to the first one most. It's is gorgeous!
Both images are great, but my favourite is the first one. A perfect book cover!
I like both very much - but the second one is the one I'd pick!
I like them both. A lot!
Hi Val
The first photo has my vote.

Valerie, I love the first image. The colours are stunning and the composition and editing are fabulous!
These are both beautiful images.
Stunning, Valerie, both of them. For fun I took a little wander round your site [it helped that I am on interminable hold whilst perusing PAF] and learned much more about YOU. I think that your first photo would entice me to look deep into your book.
Last year I took advantage of some special deals at Snapfish for photo books and while it was fun, my digital fiddling was still VERY primitive. I'm quiet enJOYing the changes of 2012 and the possibilities ahead in 2013.
Have a glorious December and I look forward to BEing back here with you in 2013.
I think the first one would have been perfect as a book cover! Wonderful shot and editing!
Have a nice weekend!
Monica:)
good choices for a cover - the colours alone will tempt the reader
this is really book cover worthy!!!
I can definitely see the first one on a book cover! Interesting how sometimes we gravitate to a certain combination of similar colors..
Both are beautiful, but I'm partial to that first one, yes definitely!!
