This Old House

This Old House

I think I have shown this old house before but I just love the colours and the rustic-ness of it.  It was an old house that was out in the middle of a field that my husband and I spotted during a ride in the country one day in the fall.  I always wonder who lived in it and why did they leave it.   I used Pdpa texture “age it” over the top and added a vintage frame that I thought went with it from The Coffeeshop Blog.

Friday is Photo Art Friday at Pixel Dust Photo Art.  The theme this week was entrances and exits.  Have a great day.

I am drawn to old houses ... I have seen this likeness in Colorado in a ghost town. It does make you wonder who has passed through that door ... Nice choice!

A beautiful piece of art. The building is so weathered. I agree.....there must be an interesting history that goes with it.

Hard to imagine a better image for the theme, Valerie. Beautifully edited.

Love your addition of a ghostly, golden cowboy hovering in the bold sunset, Jeanne!

I just love your old building. It has so much character. One can just imagine the people coming and going through this doorway.

This is a beautiful photo. I love old falling down houses and barns, as sad as it is to see them, and wonder of the families that lived and worked in them. A great discovery. Enjoy the weekend. Pamela

Well worth a 2nd look. You've done a wonderful job with the edit. It does make one wonder whatever happened to the occupants.
