Vintage Hardware

vintage doorknob with pdpa ancient treasures

It is time for Photo Friday and our host Bonnie at Pixel Dust Photo Art suggested that we make a photo including hardware.  I decided upon this one with the colourful doorknob on a vintage cabinet that a friend of mine gave me several years ago.  When I saw the colours I thought this is the one.   I added a texture called Ancient treasures of Bonnie’s  over the top to give it a further vintage feel.

Is it cold where you live? We are in the deep freeze here with temperatures of  minus 17 celcius.   We could use some snow though to cover the plants up.

Great perspective and colors - it just speaks to vintage. We are having rain and cool temperatures in the Pacific Northwest - our typical winter. I'm so glad we don't have the very cold temperatures and snow.

Simply beautiful... A very successful blending of texture and photo; subtly powerful. I love it!

It's cold in my corner of Sweden, too - about the same as at your place - but at least we do have some snow! :)

When I saw the "small" link in image I was very very curious...seashells? Your full image is wonderful. What a treasure this cabinet is, and the HARDWARE is wonderful. You chose the right texture for this one.

I live in southern United States and it is cold, but not like where you are. We really don't get snow...but I would never go OUT at your temperatures, snow or not. So enjoy the beauty for me. smiles: sharon

Love the composition and processing on this, and I also love these old doors with their interesting hardware. Sounds like you are really having some chilly weather! 70 degrees F here today.

What a gorgeous piece of photo art, Valerie. The light and the richness of the colours just commandeer the viewer's attention. You could use this one for next week's theme, too!!!

Great shot! I love vintage pieces and this photo show it off beautifully.

We're getting some snow today, but not much 3-5cm. We need a good old fashioned snowstorm.

I love this. I'm always inspired by the subjects used here. Great light and shadow in this.

Don't want to make you feel bad, but we're 73F, right now in Central Texas. Not sure what that is celcius....but, lots warmer.

Stay warm. Have a great weekend.

Love the patina on the doorknob, and the photo is stunning. Yes, it's cold here too, but with little mini thaws thrown in to deplete the snow base and then right back into the freezer again. I wish we had more cover. Maybe later on this week. Hope you stay warm!
