On Saturday I attended the kick off to the spring season at the Toronto Botanical Gardens. Many gardening groups and Ontario Horticulture Societies had tables in the big floral hall for asking questions and finding out how to join up with any of them. It was nice to meet folks you had not seen in a while. There were also garden demonstrations, garden speakers and a flower show. I went out on one of the walks through the garden tours with Horticulture Director Paul Zammit. I was surprised by the shrubs with colour and colourful berries.
I am joining Mary for Mosaic Monday. Have a great week.

Lovely mosaic. It's nice to start thinking about spring!
It would be fun to attend a horticultural show like that. Helps everyone get mentally prepared for gardening - and passes the wintery days.
Yea, Spring is coming! The garden show sounds like fun. Lovely photos. Have a happy week!
I attended this event a number of years ago and loved it. I'm sure it's even better now!!
Lovely to see the witch hazel blooming, isn't it? Have to get one for my garden.
I would have liked to see the flower show, I think some of our district student judges had entered.
The dogwood photo is stunning, did you notice what variety it was?

I would enjoy that very much, Valerie. A beautiful mosaic and so nice to see signs of spring. What is the yellow on the branches? Curious. :)
You got some fabulous shots on the walk. It was a nice day. Take care, Jen
Pretty mosaic. I love the berry branches. The one on the bottom right looks like wax myrtle branches?

it looks like everyone in the Northern Hemsiphere is looking forward to sunny days and spring.
A botanical show is certainly a good place to start.
Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by my blog to say hi!
