Pink in High Key

Ruffled Cyclamen in High Key

Lately I have been working with a photography mentor to see if I can improve the quality of my photos.   During our sessions I have discovered that I have a love of high key photography.  That is photos that are taken with a white or bright background.

I bought a pot of ruffled pink cyclamen that I spend a lot of time photographing.  With Valentine’s Day just around the corner I though I would share these with you.

Joining Mary for Mosaic Monday.  Enjoy your week.  We have snow so highly piled in the drive way that I hold my breath backing out.  You can not see what is coming down the road until you are quite a ways out.   Come on spring.

They are just beautiful - something quite heart-touching about them. They'd make perfect Valentine cards.

These are gorgeous images, Valerie! I love the colour and the white background makes it pop. We don't have as much snow here as you and thankfully there isn't any in the forecast until later in the week. It's just cold but the sun makes it tolerable. :)

These are amazing Val. Love the frills on the flower petals.

That would make it a bit hairy to back out of the driveway. YIKES! Please be careful and let's hope that all other drivers are taking things slowly on your street.

These are really beautiful high-key photographs, Valerie, and you know, I have never heard of or seen a ruffled cyclamen! It would be so much fun to photograph one of those.

We had to "cut" our driveway down some because we could not see to back out. I'm really ready for spring too!
