I was unable to download Bonnie theme texture for today so I used two of her previous textures Inspiration and brown rice paper to show you what makes me smile in the morning. When I open the curtains to the new day I usually see some birds having their breakfast on the feeders. This winter we have been visited frequently by Redpolls, a bird that does not usually overwinter here but come when food is scarce in their own territories. It is a treat for us that they visit.
I am sorry that I have been absent lately but my husband was taken for emergency surgery to a hospital in Toronto last week and I have been making my way there each day to see him. He is to be brought back to our local hospital this evening and I am glad of that. On top of that I spent the last two days in bed with the flu. I hope that you are having a wonderful Valentine’s Day.
I am joining Photo Art Friday at Pixel Dust Photo Art.

The birds bring joy to every day. Now that hubby is coming closer to home, you need to take some me time. Jen xo
I have a similar view out my kitchen window... love the one 'falling out of the picture'! Lovely shot and image, and I hope for all the best for you and your family!
Wow...when it rains it pours. I hope everything starts to get better and better for you and your hubby.

You can't got wrong with birds......this is just charming! The textures you used make this photo just lovely. Can't wait to see what you do with the Bamboo one when you get it!
Gosh Val, down on two counts. Hope your hubby recuperates quickly and that you get rid of the flu completely. Some people have had it twice - myself included.
I could live at the window in our kitchen watching the birds, nice shot of your visitors.

Valerie I wondered where you were. I'm sorry you've been through so much this week and hope you and your husband are on the mend now. Your photo is beautifully done. We have a lot of red polls around our home too. They are sweet little birds. Hugs, Pamela

Oh no - that drive back and forth to see your husband must be taxing - I've been doing the same with my mother lately. Hope he is recovering quickly and will be back home soon. Take care of yourself.
A beautiful piece of work. Your layout and the texture really make it perfect.

I was so enthralled by your image I commented immediately and then went back to read your post. So sorry that your husband is in the hospital - and what awful timing to get the flu then. Hope you are both better soon!
